I am in the same "boat". The Ski Tique sits on her lift bow up..... all the water drains to the stern. The drain hole is amidships at the pylon. No water drains when I pull hoses on the lift. I was thinking of adding an aft drain hole.

Guess that's why my 206 has both midship and aft drain plugs!

When I had my Excel, we added length to the rear lift pulleys with some chain and cleavus links. Easily added some tilt....... now for the Ski Tique, if I level that lift, I can't get her centered and properly supported. Give the chains a try.......... will save you some time and give quick peace of mind.

I might end up doing that, right now the boat sits so level on the lift that the last half inch of water that the bilge pump won't get runs all the way up to the gas tank, it would take a whole roll of paper towels to clean that up.

My SAN has no drain plug except out the back. I would run your pump, and then grab a roll of paper towels.

Has anyone added a drain plug to an Excel or other boat?

Now that my boat sits on a lift I can't get to the drain plug on the transom. It hasn't been an issue in the summer because there is no more than a little ice in the cooler that will drain into the bilge. Now that the winter is almost here I will be draining the heater and maybe the motor as well into the bilge, and would like to be able to get all the water out.
