thats sounds good.. i will look for that degreaser.. I have been know to get carried away. some of those places behind hoses and pulleys have some of that black junk and wanted to get rid of it.. I bet another couple years of minor pittling, i will just say screw it and paint it..

I used air, then a degreaser I got from NAPA. Don't remember which. Watch out on that minor touch up stuff. That was my plan with the 289. Got a little carried away and painted the whold damned thing. First it was the just the bell housing, then may as well do the tranny. My biggest mistake was thinking I could just do the motor mounts.....

I am replacing hoses and doing some minor touch up too engine. I would like to my 85 351 ford, clean the motor, get some of the black dust out of tight places, but not ruin anything such as carb etc.. Any help would be great.. Thanks guys
