I'll call them too. I went by the place in Tulsa. Their carpet is 18 oz...seemed a little thin. There is a place in TN that does a lot of Supra rebuilds I was recommended to. I talked to him already and he uses a 28 oz carpet similar to the standard carpet in the new Supras. I might go that route. I don't want the thinnest cheapest carpet, but I also don't want the thickest, most expensive.

Corinthian Marine may be a good place to call too. He has been doing kind of ongoing group buy pricing on PN, and has posted here a few times.

Jeff recommended I check with a Upholstery Supply place in Tulsa. It looks like that may be the way to go. I'll be checking what they have, in person, this week. Thanks for the help guys,

Andy, do a search on carpet. Lots of details already shared... some recent and some older, so include results from 6 months and older.

Andy, contact Jeff Stinnett in Ardmore, OK. He usually works on high end antique upholstery restorations, but because he lives by Texoma he ends up doing alot of boats. He can usually get the carpet next day and can answer all your questions @ J&R Auto Trim 580-226-5289.

So, I figured I'd get ahead of the game a little and start looking for carpet to finish off the rebuild. Doing it now gives me enough time to order some samples and really figure out what I want
Where did you get your carpet? What "weight" did you go with? Style? Are there particular specifications to look for? Anyone know the difference between indoor / outdoor and marine carpet? |
