Teak Refininshing

Sand it with 80 grit. Take some TSP (Tri Sodium Phosphate, found near the painting supplies) mixed with some bleach and a little bit of liquid laundry detergent to make a paste, then use a stiff brush to scrub it into the grain. Rinse, allow to dry in the sun, then apply teak oil until it can't hold anymore.

I did this to mine when I first got it. Now, all I have to do is apply a little teak oil when it starts to look dry and your good to go. Mine looked really bad when I got it. I was amazed how well it cleaned up, and it still looks great today.

Yes, there is a thread on the Teak Guard. It peels off just like any other hard non oil finish looking like s*** after several months. Their web site looks too good to be true!!!
