I know the feeling. I made a 40 year old jump from my Classic to my 2002 SAN. They both are a joy to work on, just in different ways.

I got some great ideas from Mike and the PN site. Boards and thinking about surf. Just getting started with a modern boat is a large learning curve compared to my '72.

Mike is right, I'm getting pretty stoopid with my ballast system. I want something that is fully controllable from the helm and easy to use.

Are you surfin' or boardin' or both? That makes a big difference as to how far you might want to go.

FWIW - I'm doing a 6 impeller pumps filling 4 permanently placed ballast tank and bags. The two additional pumps are for a bag that will be placed on the port side seat or on the starboard floor (friggin' goofy foot friends, hahaha). Connect and then fill/drain from the helm.

While I'm sure Mike and I will help out as much as we can here, PlanetNautique has many threads on the subject with a multitude of options. Also, Jason over at WakeMakers.com has been helpful and just offered a strong deal on Ballast Puppy pump group buy and a nice discount on other parts.

No name,

Ballast system addition in that boat is pretty straightforward. I have a 2 bag auto system in mine. A lot of guys annex the center locker bag to it too. Site member Raindog is currently installing a pretty elaborate system in his.
There are tons of threads over on PN regarding different installs. Most in great detail.
Your boat stock produces a pretty good boarding wake. If you want to go inexpensive, you can just get bags and a Tsunami pump or two. If you want a nice auto system, I recommend the jabsco reversible pumps. A two pump auto system takes about 4-5 hours to install, and cost about $800-900. I suppose a three bag would be about $1250.

I run about 2800# in mine between water and jugs of lead.

My install
Not sure where the pics are, they must got lost when they upgraded the site. PM me and I can send you some...

Well I added to my collection, a 2004 super sport 210 LE. It has a tower but no ballast. Is it possible to add the ballast system?
