Thanks for the replies guys.
Will report your opinions to Tom and Jo. |

Kristof, You sure can, but don't do what I did.
I was useing a cheap version of the Wagner airless, about the fourth cup full, I got too much hardner. Then Kachunk, ruined. I actually prefer the High Volume over the High Pressure. Less moisture. AT |

Kristof,
I feel the gel would really need lots of reduction (thinning) to get it through that set up. Check the Wagner instructions on the recommended max. viscosity. BTW, that is a HVLP (high velocity low pressure) set up and not a "airless". Personally I can't stand the typical spray pattern that comes out of those guns. Maybe I'm too used to a conventional atomizing. |

Kristof, here is some reading you can do.Nothing on airless but same principles would apply. One question on your airless tho, dosn't it warm the air as you spray? I would think it does and I think it would give you trouble by activating the "setting" off of the hardening process.
I think this is what Michelle used on her yuckytan Mustang. |

We were working on our little army truck again today.
We were painting some parts of it with an airless paint gun (all paints will have to be water based here in Europe in the near future). Worked like a charm! At some point during the day a question rose amongst us... Could one spray gelkote with this type of spray gun...?? I told my buddies (Jo Nautique and Tom Nautique) that I would ask that question on "the forum". So, guru's out here... Is it possible to work with gelkote in this thing? Here's two pictures of the device in question: |
