All of the gold and black is a sticker. See classifieds section for those.

I do not see where the sticker is listed for sale? duh.

So it sounds like if you were anal enough and were good enough with a air brush you could touch up the strips and then apply new stickers if so inclined. From looking at my pics, my boat paint and gel does not look too rough, only very dirty. At least that is what I am hoping for. Will post finished pics at some point. Thanks for the help.

I was able to get some pics off my old HD. Here is one showing the sides. So if I understand it correctly, basically everything that is not white is a painted strip? Except the stickers, which appear to be over the strips? Has anyone every used touch up paint to fill in the nicks in the stripes?

I would tape off the stripes when you wet sand. If they are lacking shine, but are complete (not worn through), I would think a little polish would bring them right back.

So on the sides where the paint is I will have to be careful and not sand through the paint. The gel coat on the top will be easy I guess. I have only wet sanded and buffed the seat base, which I took off the boat last week. It sanded and buffed really well. Too bad the entire boat is not all gel coat. I hope the strips are not too badly oxidized.

The boat is all one color (gel). The stripes are painted on afterwards. Before spraying, they were masked top and bottom, and where the lettering shows through.

A little confused. Could you give me a little further explanation? Lettering in Gel means I can wet sand no problem. How about the strips being out of paint? Are they applied over the Gel? I really have not looked at the boat more that close, it was in dry storage and now it is at the lake. And my computer with the few pics I have is dead. Thanks for the help. Mark

I am very familiar with wet sanding and buffing, but wanted to know, are the strips and boat name stickers or in the gel coat?
