Glad you're ok. Sorry to hear that insurance doesn't cover it...that just doesn't seem right.

We're gearing up for a decent storm today here in OK (Tornado Alley). I'm not sure if it is going to be anything severe...doesn't sound like it. It's that time of year though. It has been quiet so far...not a whole lot of storms or tornados. We'll see how things go.

I was lucky..I was out in the river that day and you could see some storm comming...got to the marina, put the boat for storage adn left...
30 minutes later rocks.
If I was caught on water I guess mayor damage would have been to the windshield and of course my head!!!

Sorry to hear about this, but then as your story unfolded was relieved . . . at first I thought it was going to be your boat getting hail damage :)

IT covers rain damage, fire, falling trees..you name it...but it makes clear it does nto cover hail...
Insurance here will normally do that.... they suck...

That sucks Seb.   We had a big hail storm in 2008. Golfball and a little bigger.   Why does your insurance not cover it?> that seems odd. Especially if it is seemingly not a very frequent occurence there.
I have never seen tennis ball sized hail. That is pretty scary. Would kill you if it hit you.

Returning from the marina I headed home, but made a little detour to get a pizza..sky was grey some intersting storm was comming. As It was early the shop was closed I waited there...suddenly wind started to blow hard, some big rain drops, and I heard a big hit on the truck...like a stone...I looked outside and saw hailstones were falling....then again another hit...I look the winshield and It had broken it...AS I was in the street no where to hide only a trees. I put the car there and hold..noise was terrible..
after 5 minutes it ceased..I got of the car and looked for damages..only the WS!!!
Car around had lot of impacts...
Major problem got at home..almost 120 tiles broken, and 3 windows...
worst my insurance covers all but hailstone damages
Rocks were the size of a tennis ball.

pics to come....
