I am in Wisconsin. I want to use it for the season, not the winter. It is quite windy where I live, which could be an issue. I've looked at the metal carports as an option. I like my baby close, and it is about 26' long with trailer and platform...didn't want to put in storage. I was not sure if the temps were any good. I see them all over.

Brett, were do you live? Maybe update your profile with a location. The reason I ask is to cosider any crazy spring weather. I'm sure Marty can agree that a severe spring storm can often destroy temp carports and shelters and do damage to your boat which may or may not be covered under your insurance. Something to consider? It might be better in the long run to use a storage facility for the season.

I had a rock wall and gravel pad put in for my boat next to the house. I was looking for a temporary shelter similar to this http://www.elitedeals.com/stl-25770.html. Shelter Logic 12x30 Super Max commercial grade canopy, about $480 w/free delivery. I cannot have a permanent structure due to road restrictions. It has a "10 year life expectancy", not warranty. Not planning on side walls. Just a roof so I can leave off the cover to air out.
Anybody use one? Have one they like? Have one they do not like? Recommended brands? Anchor suggestions? What do you have? Brett |
