For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Ohhh Man....seeing those pictures would make a CCFan cry. Especially after all the work that you put in restoring her. I agree with Joe. Pick up the pieces and rebuild her better than she was,

That sucks, BUT - It still looks a lot better than when you started last time. Don't let it beat you ... put it back better than it was!

That's terrible, I feel for you though Bro, lost a boat some years back in a garage fire myself. Hopefully nobody got hurt or anything.

Suppose if you fix her up again you should get it done in no time as everything goes faster the second time around, good luck.

Where and how did the fire start? From the pictures, it looks almost like it started in the aft starboard side of the boat?

Merde alors!! ("holy sh*t" in English boys)...

All that beautiful work destroyed in a fire...
Are you gonna restore it back? I truly hope so!
But you'll have to start all over again...

Mike,
You ned to start with the engine rotation and that will determine what hand prop you run. The indexing of the pump on the velvet drive simply allows it to build/develope pressure acording to the engine rotation. Does the velvet work now?

Ok i change the dimension.
I see on the reference from ccf, for my velevet drive,i'm not sure if it's a old or a new transmission. the number are 10-17-004 serial nummber 10921. i't runs behind a 5.7l v8 mercruiser with a Left hand propeller. ratio 1:1

now i have a velvete drive behind my 351 commander : 10-17-004 serial nummber 30 056 ratio 1:1

and he will feed the world...

Give the man a set of boat building skills and he will teach the world to ski.

Nice work ~ Looks like your co-pilot can handle keeping the boat safe.

Did you take the throttle box apart(morse control)? They can dry out. Also check the lever on the transmission with the cable disconnected. Better or not?

Looks great! You may want to go back later and put a round-over on that platform.

Im sorry, my english its not good.

I disconect the throttle box. his working easy .
the transmission still hard to move.
the oil a good ....
What do you mean with a round-over on the platform ?
