That could be the case.. Mine is retractable though.. It goes into the deck at an angle that causes it to come out just forward of the fuel tank.. I have already found two of the jetson style online.. One is 700 bones!! and the other $350.. little more than I wanted to spend on a stern light.. I bid on an "all around" style on ebay for 15 dollars.. It retracts like the one I currently have.. Guess it will do until i find a reasonable deal on the correct jetson style.. Thanks again for your help..

Heath,
I highly suspect a PO changed out your aft all around nav light!! Since your Cuda is a SS, then chances are good that it did come from the factory with the "Jetson" light. I did need a "Jetson" for a my Dunphy X55 since they too used the same light. After months of ebay searching, I did find one however it happened to be the non removable retracting into the deck type plus it was a short shaft outboard style. (we can't use retracting because our gas tanks are below the aft light) I ended up having to make a new shaft and modify it as well as the base for the plug/receptacle. Work but at least it's got the original back on it.

I mentioned the Perko Freznel. It too was used back then on the "better" CC models. Other models used the cheaper aft all around with the translucent white lens. The all metal Perko may be a good alternate. All metal Perko

thats not the one I have then.. could possibly try making some type of mold and pouring one??? may sound a little crazy but I don't want to put anything on this boat thats not original.. Again, your help/suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Also.. Saw a guy that was selling the white step pads on here a couple of months ago.. I emailed him but did not get a response.. Know anywhere else I can get these??

Heath, I beleive your boat would have had the Jetson style. They come up pretty regularly on ebay, but fetch a pretty high price if they are in good condition.

Original ski pylons and clearence bars are hard to find.

Thanks for your help.. I have looked everywhere for that lens and have not been able to find anyone who carries it.. I did a search for the perko fresnel, but still was unsuccessful.. Are we talking about the same lens?. Perhaps there were several that were offered? Mine has a square or rectangular shape when looking at it from above.. I did however find the source for the bow light lens should I ever need one..

Thanks..

Oh and for the rope guard, I think I may have a guy make me one out of stainless (same guy that made the ski pylon that is currently in my boat (made from a solid piece of stainless). Anybody know where I can find an original pylon??

Heath,
The stern lens is available. You should have the Freznel Perko lens. Do a search on line for sources or your local marine supply. If by chance you have the "jetson" style, then you'll have a hard time finding a lens. Your best bet would be to kepp looking on ebay for a complete light.

The rope gaurd is made from 1/2 oval rub rail. Somewhere there's dimentions on site that someone posted. I'll see if I can do a search and find the thread.

EDIT: I keep getting "time outs" when doing a search. It's probably due to this old very slow computer here at work. Do a search using the key words like "rope gaurd" and click "older than 6 months".
