Put the points back in!  Which engine? Did you remove the original ballast resistor?
I've got to ask, why the conversion? |

this is what keeps happening to me. put the pertronix ignition system on my boat and now i keep burning up coils. dont have an external resistor so i bought the coil with the one built into it or so they said. and that one burned up today and had to use a spare that is also sure to burn up because it was getting freaking hot also... where do i go from here?
