Thanks guys. I actually went and bought a puller for this at a local auto store. Cheap tool so I bought it. havent' tried it yet and won't get to till the weekend. I am thinking I might break this tool trying to get that thing off. It almost looks rusted/welded together to the shaft. Wish me luck. I am trying to get the engine torn down prior to weekend of 6/19 as I am leaving for vacation and having engine rebuilt while I am gone. My whole vacation I will be stressing about getting that engine back in the boat. Hopefully when I get back the following weekend, it might be ready for install. That would be awesome.

You need a puller to get it off, The local auto parts stores will "rent" them for free.

1968 Chrysler 318 Question. The Harmonic Dampner...I took the large bolt out and the surrounding screws to the pulley. Does the dampner pull off or screw off?
