Dont jump to conclusions now, Pete- it *appears* as though Gary has another new windshield on his boat. What he is showing above looks to be a 2-piece, not the shorter one-piece that he put on a little while back.

Whats the story Gary? If Im right- whats next? Putting in an original bucket for the observer seat? Finding a floor pan?

Gary, thanks, I'll keep that in mind when I get to that point on the Cuda, but it will be awhile. I call it a long term project which horrifies my kids because it's taken 3 years to almost get the Mustang done. When I say "long term project" my youngest reminds me that I will be in my 60s in 10 years. If only I could quit my day job.

Pete, maybe so, but what do you do? I'm familiar with the screws because I took apart or put together 3 of those windshields last year. Unfortunately, the Cuda is missing some and they and the caps seem pretty unusual so far.

Gary, you should never have put that info out there on the web about your 64 windshield. It's now been recorded and documented forever.

I had similar camera troubles last week and had to break out the book, This is what helped me thru it.....


Select Macro Mode – Macro mode is generally symbolized with a little flower and when selected it will tell your camera that you want to focus on a subject closer to your lens than normal (the minimum distance allowed will vary from camera to camera – consult your instruction manual to find yours). Macro mode will also usually tell your camera to choose a large aperture so that your subject is in focus but the background is not.

Thanks Bruce,it was the best I could come up with. The originals are chrome plated brass carriage bolts and the squares rounded off when I took the windshield apart. For some reason my cameras pictures are terrable tonight.

I used 10/32 button cap screws,put them in a drill press and cut them down with a dremel cut off wheel and then polished them up.I then used aluminium lock nuts just like original    Let me know if you need some,I had to buy a box

Here's the best I could come up with for the windshield screws. I think you told me it was for Eric's (clarkbar) classic? They are stainless round head Phillips. I wire brushed them but buffing will make them look loke chrome. These are #10 and I think would be too big a diameter. Your sample looked more like a #8. Measuring will tell. Double check because I have just under a box of 100 of these. The length could be cut. Mcmaster if theses don't work. You need nuts too. I'd go with stainless acorns.
