Researching steering cable info for our 2007 196 Limited. I've tested both the helm and the rudder, both are greased and resistance seems ok. Unknown within the cable sheath. The CC part# is 19-1/2'. I located a Teleflex-Morse Rack & Cable Assy. P/N SSC12420 from an internet seller. It is 20' long. The cost is the driving factor. Has anyone tried this? I believe the extra length can be taken up through routing under the helm. Thoughts, opinions?
