Andrew,
I'd say all that are registered will be there on Friday for the show. The tech seminars are planned to be run concurrently with the show. Try to make it. |

Pete,
I really want to come to Green Lake but I have a wedding on the 17th in Milwaukee. I might try to make it for Friday. Do you expect many people to be there Friday afternoon? It might be a good time for some people who know what they are doing to take a look at my little rig and tell me what is wrong with the couple loose ends I am trying to tie up. |

Andrew,
Are you planning on attending the Green Lake reunion? A new item on the agenda are some tech seminars. One of them is on prop shaft/strut/log/engine alignment. It sounds like you need to do this on your boat. Bad stringers or the strut taking a hit are typical causes of misalignment. Your rudder port stuffing box needs tightening or even a repack. |

2 more questions...
1) I had the 66 Mustang out all weekend and it continuously leaked water. When I pulled it out I noticed that the rudder had some wiggle in it and when I wiggled it, water leaked out from inside the hull. I am assuming this is not normal. Is this common? 2) When the boat is in neutral, I should be able to turn the propeller shaft by hand. How easy should it be to turn the propeller? I have to use some significant force to turn the prop/shaft. Perhaps this could be what is robbing my low-end power? |
