Consider doing the work yourself. Glassing is not "rocket science" and we're her to help out. Do some on site searching and reading. There are some fantastic threads on stringer jobs. You do not want to know what a "pro" would charge!!. Plus, we have seen some pretty pathetic "pro" jobs!!!

The t bolts would be great. Given the damage is already done I would like to nurse it through the season.
I don't have any pictures here as the boat is 2 hours away. I will try to get, to the lake this weekend.
I love this boat and would like to overhaul it. Is this a project that should be left to someone experienced or can a quality job be done learning as I go. I believe I know this answer. I have to consider labor of love ie time or diminishing returns having someone do the work.

I have been checking out CCF for some time this is a fabulous site with great resources.

My 73 skier had an aftermarket platform which was one of the main culprits of letting water under the floor. The middle platform bracket is mounted into your lift ring assembly not into a brace put there for the sole purpose of supporting the platform. This will be the only place that the platform is mounted into wood. On the 2 side brackets, the top 2 holes are through bolted and the bottom 2 are lagged(and here is the great part) into the foam under your floor! You can see in the picture below- the bottom of the lift ring assembly and on the right the top through bolts and notice where the bottom lags go. I would inspect everything with an accusing eye. You probably will not like what you find I am sorry to say.



Does not sound like there is any question over whether the lift ring mount is rotted but here is how you check it.(Make sure the pilot depth is not too deep!)

I hate to tell you this but the chances are very high that the wood for the platform isn't the only rot in the boat. Unless a stringer job has been done, it's time to check. BTW, the platform on a 74 isn't original. It must have been added so take a look behind the fuel tank and see how the work was done. Sounds like it was a "half assed shade tree mechanic" job!!
