I made a changer out of an old drywall bucket and a geared fuel pump. Use it for both engine oil and transmission fluid.

Rich,
Suck it out of the dipstick hole. Then no hoses need to come off. You won't get all of it this way but it's enough to get the job done. You can even use a cosmetic pump say off the top of a hand cream bottle.

So I remove the top hose and suck out of top instead of removing the lower hose and draining out of the bottom. Great!

Thanks

Is there any shallow pan that is especially good for draining the 1.8 quarts of trans fluid into for my '74 trans change? I'm trying to do a neater job this time and keep the bulge clean. Any way to use my oil sucker?

Thanks

Rich
