remember a couple years ago i mentioned the remote control jet that guy brought to my shop and eventually it blew apart in flight?
Well he stopped by today with the 2 tail wings on his new project, from prints enlarged to model scale he is building and almost complete with the F-14 tomcat from scratch, all by hand, balsa with glass..from memory 147" fully retractable, 16 channel custom built radio, 2 50lb thrust turbine engines at a price of 7400.00 each, electric over hydraulic landing gear, 8 gallon fuel tank for a run time of 6 minutes...I will post pics on the maiden flight in which im invited, this is the only plane of its kind...and he is only 1 of 87 licensed in this country to fly this type of rc plane he did take actual f-14 drawings to enlarge, and believe me he paid attention to detail. |
