check your neutral safety switch on the transmission, it should have 2 white wires going to it, it needs to be detented to complete the circuit, make sure your linkage is adjusted correctly in order to not burn up the trans.

I have a 1993 Ski Nautique and just recently when I turn the ignition key the motor won't turn over. but when I wiggle the shifter back and forth is when the engine turns over. What do I need to do. Is it a loose shift cable or what? Please shed some light.
