Had a great time at Coraville today. Very light traffic. No debris at all.

A local guy said the water was still 8 ft above normal.

The ramp was world class.

The highlight of the day was that both my wife & I were able to surf ropeless for the 1st time.   I am wondering if the 50 ft+ depth helped enhance the wake (compared to our 10 ft lake).    Been trying to surf for 2 years, so this was an accomplishment.

Highly recommend this lake to all!

Thanks for the offer Josh, but I am sure your efforts are most needed up at Delhi.

I called the Marina & They confirmed Mchaffeney is the place to launch, & the river is boatable.

I'm meeting some family from the Quad Cities there tommorrow.

Scales Pointe Marina

Hey gang, my gf originally made this site...although it's gone down hill from them taking it over :) I worked at the Marina on the rez all last summer.

Chris, you can stay at hotels in North Liberty...not too far from the boat ramp. 5ish mins or so...

If they can't help, I'll drive down there and check it out for you. It's only 20 min from work. I'm thinking of going down there this weekend anyway. I was out a couple weeks ago and Mehaffey was the only ramp open. I pulled right in at 11am and there was no line.

EDIT: West Overlook is also open. A friend at work was fishing there last night and said the water was OK. Should be fine for the weekend. You can call the Administration Office at (319) 338-3543 ext. 6300 with questions.

Thanks Mike, didn't want to waste a morning getting there & have it be unboatable.

Hey SN...

I was there a couple weeks ago and I believe the level is very similar to what it was when I was there. Some floating stuff, nothing to be too scared of. Make sure you get to the ramp and find a spot to park if only one is open...Hawk may have more advice than myself, but if he's still in Delhi working on flood stuff he won't be able to help ya out!

Iowa guys - We are planning on going to Coralville Resv later this week.    I hear the water is high & only 1 ramp is open (Mchaffeny Bridge).    Is the current treacherous?    Lots of logs floating?    Any thing else I should know about?

Any advice would be appreciated!
