Donno when it's kicking off. We're going early regardless on Friday to hang out and lay claim to some prime real estate.

Looks like the barefoot demo takes place at 6:30 and 8:30 on Sat. That would be pretty cool to see.

Joel,

Do you know what time the finals will be starting, looks like it is scheduled for the evening? Also any idea when the Barefoot demo will take place.

Would like to check this event out, have not been to a Pro Tour stop since they were in Des Plaines many years ago.

BTW, anybody else planning on attending?

I just saw that the BFC boys will be up there demonstating some freestyle footin'. I wish I could go, but I'm stuck in WY and I don't think there is a inboard within 500 miles. Can't wait to go home, but if I can change my flight, I'm gonna try to make it.

It's Ok Pete. I've been wrong before, and I am sure I will be wrong again at some point.

Pete, I think you are forgetting a few important bits of info.

The actual name of the pond wasn't mentioned at first:)

As mentioned, Joel went back and edited it. There was no reference as to where, except it was in "Milwaukee", on a pond. I think Pete you need to be reminded that we have like 16,000 lakes in WI, and many times the term "Milwaukee" will include a huge area from Delafield to Racine to Menomonee Falls, especially if it is a national type event like this. It's all good.:)

Time and time again Pete, you jump to conclusions. How does your foot taste?

Tom,
My foot tastes fine. How's yours? As mentioned, it was a very simple task of pulling up Juneau pond up on mapquest to refresh my memory of where the pond was in Veterans park. like I said, it's been quite some time since I've been up there! Do you need some lessons on how on line (mapquest) services work??? Yes, Joel came back in and added the link but that doesn't prevent you from finding it yourself. MG!! I don't even live in the area - you do!!

BTW, I do know where Cedarburg is. I do have some close friends via the ACBS that are residents and am getting feedback!!

Here's another LINK to the event. It includes info on a live webcast if you want to look in on the action. On a side note, the Andre De Villers and the Barefoot Central gang will be putting on demos between the main events.

True.

Joel,
Sometimes you can be a real "tool"!!! I was trying to bring out the fact that time and time again Tom never follows through with his research!! I think it has too do with the fact he somehow has the word FORD burnt into his brain!! MG,!! the guy lives in the area and he need's to ask where the pond is?????? Sorry Tom but you must admit your question was stupid!! Even without Joel's link, I went directly to mapquest and the answer popped right up!!! Plus, I haven't been to Veterans park in 25 years since the old days when I would display my wood boats during Milwaukee feast, still at least remembered where the "pond" is!!!!

Now Tom,
Do you need driving directions??

If anyone is going to the Malibu Open and would be willing to get me a "Malibu Open" T-shirt that would be very cool. I would pay for shirt, shipping (via pay pal) and some sort of compensation for your time and trouble. PM me, if you are going and wouldn't mind.

Thanks!

Tom, Evidently you didn't utilize the link Joel provided. If you had, you'd see that Juneau pond is east of Lincoln Memorial at Juneau Ave. in Veterans park.

I doubt they will have the controversy at this site vs. the last time the Malibu Open was held in Oconomowoc at the good doctors place where he had the "adjustable" slalom course.

Joel

They just had a night jump tournament here two weeks ago. It was called the "King of Darkness" night jump. They lit this small lake (about 25 acres) with light towers, and the jumpers ran the last couple of rounds in the dark. Is was so cool. Freddy Krueger jumped the longest at 235' in the prelims. He came in second overall because it was a head to head format. It was very cool. Our show team, Spray Masters did a pyramid, some freestyle jumping, and barefooting during the intermissions. The second day, while doing a two ski jump out, I had the best crash of the event. It was the first time I've ever signed autographs.
Anyone in the Milwaukee area should not pass up this event. I was reading about it a few days ago, and it said this pond is pretty small, but will be a great venue for the crowd.
Have fun, post some pics.
Play hard, life's not a trial run.

Gang, you don't want to miss this one. Pro ski tournament in downtown Milwaukee (I tested the pond last year if you recall). Looks like all the stars will be there. I'll be there Fri/Sat, hope to hook up with some CCFANs there.
