LOL, 50 is considered average, we typically see about 75hrs however have done over 100 some years.
You mentioned the boat was Loaded, the SE is actually the entry Level trim package, depending on what options may have been added that boat was probably under 40k brand new. Recently saw an ad on PN for and 05' SE with 125hrs asking $27k, was on a galvanized trailer so could be a salt water boat? |

Are you wanting a "wake" boat? Although with ballast and the hydro-gate a decent wake can be achieved, some people are disappointed with that hull being used as a wakeboard boat.

Quinner, it's a shame you only get 50 hrs a year. We do 125 to 150 down here, you should move south.

Eye's,
IMO that price is too high, based on 50hrs a season average that motor has 20yrs of hours on it. Like the other guy's said the hrs are not a problem as long as the price is adjusted accordingly. |

A "ski school" boat also scares me!! Yes, some may maintain them but I know of some that don't!! I have first hand experience of seeing customers sitting on the dock waiting for a pull while the ski school "operators" are futzing under the dog house trying to get the boat started!!

Salt water scares me though. How do you plan to use the boat ski, board, foot, surf? I do like the idea of contacting the dealer for the services though. Just be careful there not trying to take care of thier buddy.

I would rather buy a boat with 1-200 hours use a year than 25 hours of use per year.

In general, ski school boats are well maintained, they depend on them for their livelihood. See if they use a local dealer for the service, they could tell you what has been done and when.

Typical hours for a ski school over here are around 1500 a season without any issues as long as it's well serviced.
A friend has an ex ski school boat with 2500hrs and it's still good. I've seen boats with 4000hrs which still have sweet sounding engines. |

It's a 2005 Air nautique 206 with Perfect Pass, Ballast system, Tower, all the bells and whistles... and it's less than 25K Just wondering what kind of price adjustment needs to be made for the hours. Any help is greatly appreciated... Is NADA an accurate measure for price - anyone? Thanks again

Engine should have another decade of life left, and likely more.
As long as the hours are reflected in the price. 2000-3000 hours is typical |

Thanks for the info. Without records it's tough to tell how well it was maintained but it looks amazing. How ofted do these boats need a complete service or How would someone go about servicing this boat on a regular basis... I'm just not sure how the maintenance is on one of these boats. Thanks for the reply... I would welcome any other replies too.

1000hrs are nothing if the engine was good taken care off...
I put 2000 on my engine before (ford 351w) i had to rebuilt due to a craked head..but if it wasn't for that I guess it would have lasted a couple of hundred more... crate engine check skidim..but a complete excalibur 343 runs around 8000...complete with manifolds rwp etc etc...a short block may run a couple of thousand less |

I am real close to pulling the trigger on a 2005 Nautique but it has 1000 hours on the motor... Is this excessive use? I think it was used in a ski school... The boat looks amazing but the hours scared me. This would be my first inboard boat. Been boating for years but always owned i/o and jets. Time for a change for me. Also, this boat has seen some salt water use but not much and it doesn't show but the owner has been very honest with me... Anyone know how many hours I can expect out of a maintained motor? Also, Does anyone know how much for a crate motor (if available) for one of these boats... It has a 330 HP motor. Thanks in advance to anyone that could help me. Thanks!
