Just had a talk with Progressive yesterday. My insurance had lapsed because they never recieved my check. Anyway, the policy was updated and in doing so because we've been accident free for 4 years,I now fall in the nodeductable catagory. They "maxed out" my deductable to $5000 which in turn dropped my insurance premium $100. If I wreck the boat they will replace it at no cost to me up to 9k. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

My liability (bodily injury, fuel spill, and property damage) is 300K, combined single limit each accident.

I would be curious to know what liability limits you guys with $100 premiums have. Either theyre extremely low or Im overpaying for my insurance.

I go through Global Marine (affiliated with USA Waterski), and my policies are underwritten by Ace ('90) and Progressive ('71). I have agreed upon values with both- I had to drop Ski Safe when they mandated I change to a "book value" policy a few years back... apparently my '90 was "too old". Ive never had a problem with any of the companies Ive dealt with, but Ive never had a claim.

I deal with Farmers insurance. I have a great agent if you need someone. I have full coverage, runs me 125 for the year with a good deductible on the boat.

I've had good luck with progressive and vehicles, don't know how they are with boats though since I've had no claims. They were much cheaper than anyone else I found, I have to carry a bunch of liability for USA Waterski events that I drag to boat to every year.

I have Progressive also with an agreed upon value on a 30 year old boat. Rates are right there with everybody else. No claims so far but it all looks good on paper.

Progressive, have a recent encounter with both the adjuster and her BOSS.A little slow on wood boats tho.
I had an agreed upon value policy. They cut me a check for that amount with no deductable.
I have two other boats insured with them, no problemo..........Boat dr

Progressive has a pretty neat dissapearing deductible. The more years you dont have a claim they lower the deductible, then you can keep raising your deductible to get cheaper rates, essentially having a zero deductible. Make sense??? It took me a minute. I have three boats with them. No problems, but I have never had a claim.
