I have the original instruction for the infamous fram gas water filter. You are to remove the brass plug at the bottom and drain the filter first. You need to take out the two brass plugs at the top to aid the draining. Next you grasp the formed centerbolt nut at the bottom of the filter and twist to unscrew. I was not able to open mine even in a vise. I replaced it with a Sierra aftermarker version and I am much happier with it.
I have the original instructions and can send it to anyone who needes it. I cannot post it as the scan is too large. Just send me an email and I will send it. Gerry |
