Just make extracts from MMORPG,lol. Recently MMORPG.com's Garrett Fuller had the chance to sit down with Aion associate producer Sean Neil and community manager Andrew Beegle. fast wow gold They spent time talking about Assault on Balaurea, fast wow gold the first Aion expansion that was released yesterday with topics ranging from the new pet system, flight and challenges thrown at players in Balaurea. Check it out! Interviews By Garrett Fuller on September 08, 2010MMORPG.com: The pet system is changing drastically with Assault on Balaurea, what was the biggest challenge in enhancing the system as developers? cheap aion kinah Sean:cheap aion kinah The biggest challenge every design team has is creating something familiar to players, but with a unique spin on it. Pets usually serve one of two purposes in most games: combat or vanity. Combat pets are an extension of the characters ability to fight and a weapon in their own right. cheap aion kinah Vanity pets serve no purpose other than making their owners look special.cheap aion kinah We needed to find functional uses that the players would actually need, without breaking the immersion of the game. They needed to look very different, and provide “services” to players that would make exploring more fun than normal. I think we took the time and did it right and the crowds around the Pet Minder in game seem to agree. MMORPG.com: What part of the new pet system are you most excited about as a player of Aion, not just a developer? ffxi gil Sean: ffxi gi In essence, I just love the idea of usable non-combat pets. But in particular, I’m really looking forward to using the “Signal” Pets, which will alert you when an enemy player is lurking about. There’s few things more defeating than getting ganked while you’re trying to level your Essencetapping skills on some plants. It’s also awesome that we get to switch out pets on the fly, so there’s no having to go through some long process of weighing out which pet is best for a particular situation. Just summon the guy you think you need, and change them out as necessary! MMORPG.com: Having flying in an MMO is always a challenge, yet Aion has tackled it perfectly. When you decided to add in new mechanics where did you start? Final Fantasy XI GIL Sean:Final Fantasy XI GIL Flight needs three components to work in a game. It needs to be a form of travel and movement around the game, allowing access to areas you can’t do on an X/Y plane (and making areas like the Abyss possible). It also has to be tactically relevant to the gameplay and combat, allowing for advantages and disadvantages for those willing to use it. But there’s one more intangible element that is essential. Simply put, it needs to be awe-inspiring. maple story mesos When you hop into a Windstream in game, maple story mesos we want you sit back and enjoy the ride. If you need to get up a cliff that would take precious time to run around and find a path to climb, we want you to feel like the master of the terrain by using the geysers to launch you closer to your target. To paraphrase one of my favorite movies, “You’ll believe a man can fly.” |

mods may be worth checking out if you plan on keeping your truck for a while.... Banks is reputable, as are a couple of the others... I am surprised that your mileage is so much lower, mine is only 2wd though. I think my dana 70 has the 4:11 gears. It pulls like crazy, just not very fast. I looked at getting them changed when the rear end was rebuilt, but got talked out of it because of the pulling power loss. not sure if that was a good choice or not, as I drive empty far more than I pull... up to 250K on the clock, and I hope for another 250k before the body falls apart

Andy, it's a 3.55. I didn't think about that when talking MPG differences. I've always been hesitant to mess w/ aftermarket mods. Banks does seem to have a good rep and I did briefly toy with the idea of investing in some of their mods. I still get their e-mails on a fairly regular basis.

Trep, There are 2 rear gears 4.11 & 3.55 for the dyna 70. The tag under the hood on yours might say 4.11.

24V 5.9L Has averaged mid 16 since day one. On a long haul I can get to 19. That's the computer readout. I've never calculated it out myself.

Terp, the emissions gear was supposed to play havoc with the fuel mileage, as was the upgrade from 5.9L to 6.5? which motor do you have? My 93 with the 5.9L gets 22 mpg all day long, 25 if Im on the freeway, and about 17 if I'm towing. I max out at about 65 though... One really good thing about the later versions was that you could hit 70 if you wanted too . the Gale Banks turbo, intercooler and exhaust helped the MPG's out quiet a bit, and didn't hurt in the power dept.... might be worth a try if you wanted to add some economy and ponies at the same time. Waterdog - our diesel is 3.55 gal and has been over 3.00 for the last 4 months... I'd love to fill up at your rates!

Your right Eric,if thats all we have,I'd be driving it.You bring up a good point tho,I could plug it in at home but at work, forget it and thats where I'd be stuck.I made me dissapointed with the fact I paid more for it,delt with the hassels of finding fuel and reeking of it when I did find it and then all said and done for my efforts of trying to do good got to pay same license fee's as a gas hog and get jacked around with diesel fuel taxes

I won't mess w/ diesel again either. I thought I would need the power around the farm. I recalled the last time we had a fuel "crisis" and the truckers "revolted." Diesel price came down, gas price went up. I thought I might have some leverage there. Wrong on both accounts. What I did get was extra hassle treating the fuel for cold weather and keeping the damned thing pulled in all winter.

Eric, Just to make hiway diesel "Ultra Low Sulfer" takes more refining. I hear the new Charmin filters down to 3 microns.
GaryS,In the US we are going green different than Europe. Diesel is the future on the other side of the pond. The VW TDI racing series over here is pretty cool. |

Eric your killing me- If diesels were mandated I'd quit driving.I had one and I know it was along time ago and that they changed. BUT for the past 31 years my commute is 7 miles. My diesel never warmed up and at 100K the motor was worn out. They are not for everyone. It was a big mistake,it will never happen again.

HS you're doing something right! I'm lucky to run 16.5 on mostly highway driving, although I'm typically running about 72 @ around 2k up & down mountains. I might get it into the 19 range if I kept my speed down. Around the farm and pulling the boat back and forth to the lake it will hang around 12. I added a 4" exhaust several years back, out of neccessity more than anything. The stock exhaust rusted out and the 4" aftermarket was much cheaper than the OEM crap that didn't last but a couple of years. Seriously, I think it was about 30K miles if I remember correctly. I have had more corrosion issues w/ this truck. I've noticed no improvement/difference w/ the 4" but didn't really expect to, having done nothing else to tweak it. Oh, there was one improvement, it hasn't rusted out after 30K. I wondered once or twice in the past if there might be a difference in the way the off-road diesel was filtered but figured if I stayed on top of my fuel filter changes (which I do) it shouldn't be a problem. I only quit using it b/c I heard the MSP was stepping up enforcement on it. |

the off highway goes thru 95% electronics on heavy equipment, boats also use off highway and avoid the taxes, im just curious if there is evidence to back up the statement on the refining process, typically the filtering systems on a diesel are 10 fold than on a gasser and of the cartridge type...even seen some that used a roll of toilet paper in a cartridge.
really though, highway driving at 80 mph and city driving im seeing 500 miles on 12 gallons. I would bet if i hopped on the freeway and set it at 65, i would easily see 50 mpg. not to bring up politics but if it was mandated and laws passed and everyone was required to purchase a diesel car, we would cut fuel consumption in this country in more than half. the biggest problem I have with convincing people that diesel is the way to go is the cost of diesel, because it is typically .40 more a gallon they think it costs more to operate...they cant figure in the mileage lol. I told you guys one time a guy told me his son in law locked himself in the garage and fired up his powerstroke, got him sick but didnt kill him. one other advantage is the flashpoint of diesel, you roll it over on the freeway and your not going to explode so you can sit there waiting for the ambulance still buckled in and not worry lol |

Terp,
The off highway fuel is not as filtered / refined as the on highway stuff and the electronic controled fuel pumps are fussie. I would'nt chance it. My man thinks most additives do no harm but don't do a hole lot ether. I like stuff called Sea Foam to keep the injectors clean and thats what the dealer(stealer)peddles.(I do think it works) In the last week fuel jumped 25 cents here from 2.80 to 3.05 a gal. Its more common and easier to refine than gas so WTF! I'd like to put a 4 in exhaust on mine and maybe a fuel plate to add power / fuel. He asked about my mileage. I said, the last time I checked it running mostly 1700 rpm/62 mph back and forth to work - 26 mpg, over 700 miles between fill ups. He just sat on the phone! My trucks empty weight is 8800 lbs. and dosen't start to snort till GVW is 25,000 lbs. then the mileage goes down hill FAST!!! |

Thanks Andy. I'm really aggravated to think this job wasn't done properly. They certainly did not explain it that way when they did the job. I'll have to sort that out w/ them.
My fuel pump issues aside, did you two happen to discuss any of the various fuel supplements and what his thoughts were on them in general? |

Trep, This is the story. 98-04 the lift pump is a pull thru pump on the block. The fuel strainer in the tank gets stopped up (with algae / debris) the pump gets starved for fuel but still runs OK till it fails. Harvey said the fuel additives and or the low sulfer fuel didn't cause the failure.
Dodge has a revision kit with a push thru pump mounted in the tank to take care of the problem. If the pull thru pump was replaced with another pull thru pump on the block the problem is still there and the VP 44 electronic fuel injection pump is the next thing to fail. He said if the work was done at a Dodge Dealer they should have known that. I also change the fuel filter every other oil change. |

Terp, In the second half of 98 Cummins changed to electronic fuel inj. and the 24 valve engine to keep up with the EPA. Your pump is about softball size mine looks like a small 4 cyl engine. My engine doesen't have any electronic controls. I'm playing phone tag w/my bro in law.
Google Pensacola Diesel for parts they may save you some cash. And I'll try catch up with my bro in law he's a BIG bow hunter and might be in Alabama in a tree stand! |

Andy, I sure appreciate it. I had the boost pump replaced (on the Dodge mechanic's recommendation) in the spring b/c it was bogging intermittantly when asked to accelerate. The problem persisted and now they're saying to replace the inj. pump ("sometimes it gets damaged when the boost pump fails to supply proper pressure") $1700 just for the pump. I wondered how much the new fuel might have played a role in it. I had been using off-road diesel until about 18 months ago. I came across the 2-stroke/diesel mix in a JDeere publication last month. There are mixed reviews of the practice on the Cummins & Diesel forums. Of course the Dodge dealer has no comment. I did run a tank w/ Marvel mixed and the problem seemed significantly reduced. Then I ran a tank w/ Power Service mixed and it was much worse. So I just refilled w/ Marvel mixed again to see if it improves again. Is this mechanical pump you are speaking of applicable to the old style 2002s? Is it better than the stock pump on a 2002?

Andy, off the topic of brakes but on the topic of Dodge diesels, are you running any supplements in your fuel to off-set the reduced sulfur? I have an '02. I've read some guys are adding 2-cycle oil, others are adding ATF. Do you have any personal experience with this issue?
