Mike I have a 422 and a 470 which I will be testing on the Sport when it arrives will let you know the outcome. I think it still has the original 4 blade OJ currently.
Thanks for the pictures of the trailer. Will need to do some modifications. |

Steve,
We won't be testing the 1442 or any other prop this year. I am cleaning the boat up tonight (dirty from the 1800 mile journey) and then we are taking it out this weekend or some night this week if the weather lets us. And, if I can figure out how to start the thing. I've been studying the manual regarding the electronic gizmos that "smart pod" has to offer lol. I guess we'll like it after we learn how to use it! |

The big Sport doesn't jump out of the water like an SN, I'm not unimpressed with the original OJ at all. I've noticed this on other 20'+ MFG boats as well. The cast props seemed to push the boat along decent.

I measured 1.5 in clearance on the 422 which is a 12.5 dia. Mike are you going to talk your Dad into taking it for a spin? Would love to hear reports on the 1422. Bad day on the river today with those 50+ winds blowing!

Cool!!! The only OJ (I think it's an OJ) We've ever used is the stock 14X16 that came on the '90. Few years back we got the 654 which I feel is the best prop we've ever owned. And last year bought the 1442 which I still have mixed feelings about. To me, it feels like the '90 doesn't have enough umpff to turn the 13.25...IF that thing fits on the sport it could be a whole new world. I bet it'd pull like no other.

If youre used to the Acmes, you wont like the traditional Legend nearly as much... especially if you run them back to back. Theres a pretty big difference in holeshot, speed holding and smoothness.
Either the 654 or 1442 would be better choices- whatever keeps you in the 4800-5000 range at WOT is what you want to shoot for. I believe Steve confirmed that the Sport has sufficient clearance to run the 13.25" wheel. |

Was hoping Tim would be the replier. :)
How would this 13X16 perform? We have a 654 ACME laying around and our new 1442 ACME as well. We talked about whether or not the 1442 will fit the sport with the new shaft angle... |

Looks to be a 13x16 OJ Legend 4-blade. I believe they went to the 422 in '01.

Anyone know what this prop is off the top of their head? Looks like an OJ, but know nothing about OJ's...
