To get the mold out an old lady told me to go to the Dollar General and buy "Mean Green". Don't confuse it with Simple Green. That's stuff removed the mold in contact. My best kept secret and is darn cheap. Other people suggested the Mr Clean Magic eraser. I havent done it.
That's my suggestion: Mean Grean, then follow it with Babes soap and conditioner. You have to put a marine grade conditioner. |

I was suspicious, but had heard about it on different sites for a while so I tried it. Follow the directions, use the brush, and let it sit for a few minutes. My interior was in pristine condition for a 93, I couldn't tell it was doing anything at first. After doing half of the boat I stood up to take a break and that is when I noticed the difference, the clean seats were a shade of white (silver cloud) I had never seen and the the rest looked dingy. there were a few spots where I had never had success with that came up after about 3 tries. If you are making progress after the fist application then keep going, there are a couple of spots that I can't get. The only problem is that once you start using it you have to clean the whole boat. It's only about $20 or so with towels and a brush so you can't go wrong. I touch everything up with Babes seat soap and seat saver after every ride, and use the Exquisite on the Holiday weekends when I detail. I have even used it on the King Ranch leather in my truck, that is the most particular leather that I have every dealt with. |

I probably should have been a little more specific. Hoping it will lift some older mold and mildew that has set in a bit. Thanks Foilhead... let me know.

I use something called Exquisite, you get it on EBay for someone in CO. I'll try to find a link when I get to the computer. It's amazing what it will do.

Could someone suggest what they use to clean seats that have a little mold and mildew build up. I don't want to fade the color.
thanks |
