Mike,
The salesman was on the correct page. The pump is needed to get the catalyst into the can. The product is a true polester gel coat requiring the catalyst. This is not a paint in a aerosol can.

Pete,
Icalled the guys at mini-craft, Asked about the aerosol and they said I would have to buy a pump and some other stuff, Maybe me and the salesman were on the wrong page, Do you have any more info on the product?
Thanks Mike

Mike,
Take a look at Mini-Craft of Florida. They have a aerosol (rattle can) product that I've used several times on small jobs. One of them being on a stem/keel repair from a owner and his not caring about what happens to a hull when beaching.

Mike - Good & easy are usually mutually exclusive!

Best thing to do is to re-gel the area. You can even brush it on, but the finish will not be as good as spraying. Some guys put a keel protector on but that looks tacky to me. You can just paint it - even tackier.
