I second the Hot Coil idea. Mine got hot after about an hour and the
boat had no power and would shut down at idle. New Blaster II took care of it.

could be the pickup in the distributor expanding and grounding out as it heats up.Ive seen it on new distributors on cars.doesn't matter the brand all the parts come from timbucktoo.Float bowls could be off.Choke could be out of adjustment or just broke.Coil could be bad too, that would cause the same thing.Ive even fixed a supra with a weak connection at the harness plug by the main breaker.Ive also seen the alternator regulator over charge and scramble the distributor but you would probably smell that one.lol

Another possibility is a vacuum leak that develops as the engine heats up. I wouldn't think it would take an hour to show up but leaning out the mixture under the high vacuum conditions at idle could give the kind of symptoms you are having.

since last yr , seems to do it sooner the higer the ambient temperature...I would say about 1200 rpms , when you come off plane it just shuts off and just starts running rough you have to keep at 1000 or better in no wake area or it will die ...real exciting coming into a dock or canal...not sure on advance on distributor. I have not checked to see if choke is opening all the way. no fuel smell in exaust or black smoke. some also said check main harness when it does it and see if its hot and ballast resistor..

Hi, how long have you had this situation?
what's your idle rms and while in gear rpms?
What's the advance on your distributor?
Have you checked the carb's choke is opening all the way when engine's warm?
Any signs of black smoke or fuel smell through the exhaust?
