Positive cable is routed from battery to starter solenoid (relay), then to starter. Negative is routed to engine block.
A small gauge wire (yellow with red strip?)is routed from the ignition switch which carries 12 volts when the key is turned to start which in turn pulls in the solenoid (relay) and completes the circuit (direct from battery) to the starter. |

On a 97ford PCM should the positive battery cable run to the starter relay switch or the starter?
