No, not much. Even with some soap/water lubricating the cutlass bearing, there's always some drag. Also, you get drag from a properly adjusted packing gland.

It should spin easily with 1 finger. Sounds like you need to do an alignment.

How easily should the prop spin on my '75 ski nautique by hand? It takes some effort to spin mine and it will not continue to spin after I stop spinning it. And yes, my tranny is in neutral. Is this normal or should it be easy to spin?
