Thats what I was thinking. But at the same time I am trying to picture how big 100 acres is? I know the lake I am on is about 402 acres big (thanks wikipedia) so 100 acres must be pretty small.

Sounds to me they need an xstar full of spoiled teenagers to put them back in perspective

I'd have to disagree , Bruce. More than likely some city slicker bought a camp on a small pond looking for his little piece of heaven, not realizing that his neighbors, who have owned their land for a hundred years, like to go skiing on the weekends. Not realizing this because he purchased his "heaven " on a weekday he is now looking to change the way the entire state operates so that he can catch a few bass in his johnboat before breakfast. I could be wrong....

EDIT: I was typing as Bruce posted. That would be a pretty nice set up wouldnt it. Be one of a few places on a 100 acre pond, have your course set up, and hopefully no one to object. Yeah...I'll keep dreaming.

I would have loved to joined you all in Boston but Blake has a school basketball game, final cut tryouts for a AAU basketball team and two indoor soccer games. I know we won't be going to all but it dosen't look like adding a boatshow to the mix is gonna happen.

The idea that skiing could be restricted to make room for more bass boats is ludicrious. Starting to pass laws against skiing can't be good. What's next? No barefooting before 10AM? Height restrictions on pylons for wakeboarding? or no enhanced wakes for wakesurfing, so the tubers have more room.

Give some folks a badge and they think they are God!!!

The Committee that will hear this bill is pro fishing. No doubt the testimony will be how the slalom skiing ruins the tranquility and fishing opportunities. INT should pack the room with opposing testimony.

100 acres is pretty small. Wonder who that would affect. If its that small, probably private and wouldnt affect. I guess there must be some 100 acre public ponds that residents or users got annoyed at skiers on, hence the bill. I know there used to be a stop on Keith's lake in Limerick. Whole lake must be more than 100 but the section the course goes in must be way less.
