HAHAHA!!!
I don't know if you made that up yourself but I am stealing it, hope you don't mind!

That was an OverMyHead original, glad you appreciated it. It kind of suprised me how prophetic it looked in print. I have understood the concept for awhile but did not put it into words till I saw the video credit. If you put it on a t-shirt I would like a small percentage of royalties , Otherwise I would feel honored to have it quoted or stolen, either way.

My favorite example of this involved a buddy purchasing a 20' boat lift with canopy about a mile across the lake from his cabin, he got a deal but had to remove it from a tree and brush covered shoreline with about a 70% incline (cliff). After a few brews( and a few for courage on the trip back) five of us crossed the lake with a bayliner, forester tri hull and an aluminum row boat, along with some ratchet straps. We stationed the boats three abreast (row boat center) just off shore. We then carried the lift and placed it on the rowboat. The ratchet straps were run from cleat on each boat underneath the lift frame, adjusting tension till all three boats had about an equal risk of swamping. For some reason we deamed it neccesary that my friends much younger 17 year old brother ride in the row boat with the lift to keep it secure. We then traveled a mile back across the center of the lake, throttle set at a constant speed on the tri-hull, and me adjusting the bayliner speed to turn right or left. I only wish we had photo documented, but it was before cell phones had cameras.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

I liked the credit to "lots of beer". If necessity is the mother of invention, beer is the illagitamate father.

If your boat is inop, and you still want to ski, this may be an option...
