   Yup, same stuff.  It doesnt take much to hold it- there wont be any force on it anyways.  I used Henry 663 in my '90, Tique and dad's pontoon... but we sprung for the 263 for the BFN after hearing about Joe's troubles.  We had to call Henry directly to get the name of a local distributor who sold it- so be prepared to do the same.

	Perfect, Thanks alot. Good info in there. When you glued the carpet to the trim, did you use the same Indoor/outdoor carpet adhesive as for the rest of the boat? IT seems like it might be too thick to go onto the trim well without making a mess. I guess a little goes along way?

	TRBenj, Can you repost that first link? Or tell me what search parameters you used? The link says "page not found" and I'm still not having much luck with the search.

	Yes, I did search. I've never had great luck with the search function on this site for some reason. Maybe an FAQ section or a Forum for stickied threads could make it easier to find? I do have the 20oz carpet so that is a good point you brought up. Thanks for help with the linked threads. Off to read now.

Carpet Replacement/trim tips Carpet Adhesive discussion In my experience, getting thicker carpet (20oz or more) to cut cleanly is very difficult, and the trim helps hide the seams. Your old stuff should clean up nicely with some acetone. The thinner carpets (16oz or less) isnt too hard to cut cleanly- but I think the trim makes the boat appear more "finished"... at least on boats that came from the factory with it. I think they started using it around 1980.

	I'me ready to put the new carpet in sometime this week hopefully, still undecided on whether or not to re-use the carpet trim though, anyone have pictures without it they can share? I'm leaning towards re0using it since mine is in good shape, just dirty. For the people that have used the trim, I have a few questions. Did you glue the trim down first and then put the carpet in? or install carpet, leave a few inches loose at the edge and then install the trim? My plan of action (if I use the trim) is to cut the carpet oversize, install and glue starting in the middle and let it cure. Then size it to the trim, cut to fit and push it into the grooves with a screwdriver or a putty knife. Does glue go inside the trim to hold the carpet in? if so what kind? Any tips to making this come out looking the best it can?
