Fair point. I figure that the boat is always at risk for gas gone bad over the winter. I am trying to do what I can to make sure that the risk does not come home to roost in my car. The alternative is to buy gas tanks for temporary storage of the fuel, but I will never need the tanks again. Just looking for ideas. Thanks.

I would just get a jiggler hose, and siphon it straight in. If you trust the gas in your boat, I would not be too concerned about it getting into my car.

I need to empty my boat fuel tank in order to remove it and change my swim platform brackets. The boat has been winterized. I've never had a problem with spoiled or contaminated fuel before. I am considering transferring the fuel to my car since I don't have tanks to hold it temporarily. What filters, etc., can I use to insure that no bad fuel, water or other junk goes into my car?
Thanks. |
