Thanks. I need to fish out the wires from the loom and put ends on them.

Unfortunately in order to be registered for my lake, it must have a functional horn. (I don't have the rules in front of me right now, but I think it is anything powered over 16', must have a functional horn.

What about the voltage, is it 12V to the horn? The wires are there they are just loomed together. I will need to un-loom them to test / hook them up.

Some times a whistle will do. I had one in my boat until I replaced the horn.

What exactly is the wording of the rule? Many older boats did not come from the factory with a horn- you wont catch me adding one to my Skier, for example!

I carry a small air horn on board to satisfy the legal safety requirements. Would that be an option for you?

I replaced mine with one from the local auto parts store.

I need to get a horn on my boat. Where would be the best place to get it. I think it originally had the trumpets but they have been removed. Due to the Rules of my community I need to have a working horn.

Thanks
