We thought long and hard about doing this on our BFN. The interior is very tight and any additional storage would have been welcome! When we laid everything out, we realized that there was not much room to work with. Side to side, the battery box is up against vent lines and conduit. Front to back, the battery box is tight between the observer seat and kick panel. Unless youre comfortable adding a second box in line, your options are pretty slim. I did not want a box under the observer's seat- it would have either interfered with the seat frame or we would have been stepping on the lid every time we got in the driver's seat (or both) so we nixed the idea.
These boats are tight- I feel your pain! |

Doing stringer in a '81 Tique. Almost ready to start battery compartment wiring ventilation etc, and possibly storage compartment. Looking for input as to reconfiguring it. I have seen a few different configurations on here. Just curious as to how different layouts worked out, and changes that you would recommend. Pics if availible.
Thanks, Kent |
