William,
You're the man. This is what I was looking for. Not sure if my 88 has this little board, but I'll check it out to see. |

Steve,
Check out this post. That is off a '90. The little circuit board is up under the dash. It has three places you can adjust that are siliconed over. Do the '88 boats have this same thing? That would be where I would think you would adjust your setpoints to not trigger the lights under normal conditions. |

Hey guys, i'm well aware of the inadequate grounding setup that plagues many of us with the 2001 (and I suspect other model) boats. My question may be related to the grounding, but I'm not sure.
My dash has the "alarm" lights next to the voltage, oil pressure and temp gauges and although none of those gauges read low voltage, low oil pressure or high temps, the lights stay lit up. What triggers those lights to come on? Is it tied to the senders? gauges themselves or what? I suspect that if my alarm was hooked up, it would be tied to the lights and would probably sound the whole time, but it's not hooked up. This is more of a curiousity thing than anything else. When I get time (if that ever happens) I'd like to run down these little issues and get them fixed, but they are not keeping me off the water so they are low priority. |
