thanks for all the advice. i went ahead and ordered the wix51515 on amazon yesterday, should arrive tomorrow. i am not sure about the transmission as it says pleasurecraft on it and i am nervous about how i will suck it out/put dexron back in? is it the same process as the engine oil? turn it on for 15 minutes, then stick the pump in to get as much as i can out?
thanks again

what v-drive do you have on the back? if its a Walter's yes change it, and yes change the trans oil...use the addage if you change it 10 times a season, you wont hurt a thing

Go to NAPA & get a 'Gold' oil filter. I think this is a Wix. They can look cross reference the current filter you have.

I think you have a roller cam motor so the ZDDP oil issue is not important for you.

Mobil 1 would work. Diesel oil will work, but has extra detergents you don't need.

Hi
i used to take my 2007 Super Air Nautique into the dealer to get the oil changed but this year i am ready to do it myself. i am wondering about oil specs. the engine calls for 15W-40 but when i go into my local pep boys every oil of that weight says Diesel on the front. is that right? also they dont carry the Wix oil filter so does anyone know of a good alternative? should i be changing the transmission oil every year? what about the V-drive? i would appreciate any advice.
Cheers
