LD,
Posting pictures on site can be confusing but not that bad. First, you need to go to the "post reply" and not the "quick reply". You'll find a icon wit a picture of a tree and a up arrow on it. Clicking it will bring up a brouse window allowing yu to pick pictures out of your computer. If you get a notice they are too large, then resizing is neded or you need to use one of the picture on line sites like photobucket.com

The diary section is a listing of members and non members boats with pictures and text. Under the main CCfan heading, you'll see |diarie". Clicking on it brings up the sites diary section.

First thanks for the info and the welcome. I'm not sure how to upload yet, I have the pics in the file manager. Not sure about what the diary is tho! and what to do next.

LD,
The cutlass bearing in the strut is bad when you can feel play between it and the prop shaft. Don't worry about the squeek. Also, the shaft stuffing box may be squeeking too - sound travels. It too is water lubricated.

Welcome to CCfan. Tell us more about the boat. We love pictures too and so does the diaries section!!!

I have a 1984 2001 and here's the Q? When I'm under the strut area of the boat and manually spin the prop there seems to be a rub or squeak sound that is coming from the strut(non lubricated bushing). The boat has 900 hrs. on it. I know this area is Lubricated with water. When the boat is in the water and under power for the first few minutes it is making noise but does quiet down fairly quickly. Is this normal or does the bushing need replacement. Any advice is appreciated.
