Dewinterize my 216 - Help

   You need to be a bit more specific, which motor, is the boat equipped with a heater, shower, biodegradable anti-freeze used or was it drain only, was impeller left in and belt on, was any precaution taken with the Gateway box, etc. etc.

Then what was changed in the fall, trans fluid, motor oil, fcc filter, rudder greased.

Regardless I would check all clamps on the water hoses for tightness as well as a visual check of the various drains in the block, manifolds, etc.

Not overly complex once you know what to do.

	Laker - Call & ask the dealer if they left any hoses or plugs loose (some do on purpose). The worst they can do is laugh at you for asking. If they don't give you a straight answer, check all belts, hoses & drain plugs to make sure they are tight. Check you shaft packing for proper drip rate if you don't have a dripless. Don't forget to grease your trailer bearings too.

	the important thing is finding out what anti-freeze was used. someone coined that phrase to me years ago, can you dewinterize my boat....i thought about it for a while and said "sure" check all your fluids, charge battery, do a visual, even an alignment check. fire boat and re-claim antifreeze if biodegradeble wasnt used

	OK, I want to put my boat in the water and this is my first time dewinterizing one. Need some help. I had it winterized from the dealer and not sure I want to spend any cash to get it de-winterozed. It was ran up on antifreeze and left like that for the winter. What are the things that I have to do and check before I throw it into the water? Don't want to mess up my toy. And yes, if this gets complicated I will take it too the dealer.........I'm not that cheap......
