Late getting back in here, but yes the steering is adjustable. Out back at the pump nozzle where the cable attaches there is a coupler that attaches to a ball fitting on the nozzle. Release the spring loaded lock and remove the cable from the ball. Loosen the jamnut( may be easier before removing cable from ball) and adjust whichever way you need to. Jamnut is 8 or 10mm wrench, cant remember. Dont forget to put some grease on the ball and coupler when done

I believe the steering cable is adjustable. My 98 ZXI1100 does the same. We live at the swamp with rapids above and tidal below ~ THe ski is fun for exploring skinny water and much more manuverable and quieter then my old 55hp outboard jet.

Got to the fuse box/holder/compartment. The Main 10 amp was corroded and shot. Replaced it and it fired right up!!! Think runs great. Thanks for the help Mike!

If I ever need anything else on it I may come running...actually...

When cruising on smooth water with the jet ski going straight I notice my handlebars are turned to the left a considerable amount. Is there a small adjustment I can make to fix that?

Yeah, it's doubtful you did any harm outside of that fuse.

You have a main fuse located under the black cap on the electrical box below the oil injection tank. Shouldbe a 30 amp blade style fuse.
I have a factory Kawasaki manual for that ski if you ever need any specs.

Hey all,

Dad and I like cruising the backwaters on our jet skis when we don't have time to real ski. /end disclaimer

I did a booboo when I was getting it ready this spring...I was chattin with someone and wasn't paying attention and put my battery cables on the wrong posts. Neg to pos, pos to neg etc...

Now, I have nothing going on. Though it may be a bad battery since those don't last all that long, new battery still does nothing.

I'm assuming I fried something...anyone know if I have fuses to check? Where would I check? In-line or a fuse box? I know nothing about these things so sorry for my ignorance.

It's a 1997 Kawasaki ZXi 750. Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
