I have slalomed a handful of times usually I wakeboard, but it is getting hard on the knees .so I can get up on a wider 9.5" slalom ski but have not tried on anything skinnier

By "new" to skiing, do you mean you have slalomed before, or you're just trying to get started?

I am new to slalom ski really liked going fast ... so I am about to buy one. the big question is do I get a wide beginning ski without full rear bindings (which i have rode) or do I get a more intermidiate ski with rear bindings and narrower. I have been looking at an HO easy up or HO asx w/ venom bindings any help would be great ebay auction will end soon
