Marty,
The trip went without issue or suprise. Logged over 3200 miles and over 1z hours on the boat. Other than th wr mpg in the tahoe and 3.75 per gallon fuel as was good.
I simply put the spare in a trash bag the laid it on my barefoot gear in the open bow.
Thanks for helping out a fellow Nautiquer. Any dates from Ried yet?

Your Welcome my Friend!!
Yes guys I was at Reid's--only he was at Topsail Beach! He had some other equations that came to factor in against his trip to High Point for 2 straight days. So I had to make the trip down to Lake Norman, to drop of some Goodies for Green Lake. Chris Mars (Storm34) Bow Stop-- the 'Purple Rain's ' old one, and a few surprises.
Reid talked me into going down after work on Friday with the wife and staying the night in the apartment above the Garage! So there is truth in what everyone says on the site---CCFans are GREAT People!
Although this is what I saw when I arrived!!

Nothing!!   What NO BOATS for me to DRIVE!
Oh--He knew I was coming so he took everything out of the water except a TOON !

So I gave The Donald a call! And BOY did he come through!! He also came on a TOON around 9:30 pm , picked Karen and I up, took us to The Landing, bought us Supper, and Ferried us back Safely--Well the Misses- got us back to Reid's around Midnight-as The Donald's Hair kept flying off in the wind .
Woke up around 6 am to a Slalom Skier on the lake and Reid's Pet Fish wanting something to Eat

Waited for the Donald to come pick us up again and do a tour of Lake Norman--and while waiting that's when Greg called and said Where you at! I wanta come get that RIM from ya!
So he waited as long as he could for The Donald to show- but had to get back on the road and left about 5 minutes before we saw the 'Hairpiece' come around the Point!

What a GREAT Day we had on the TOUR de Norman!! Saw all the 'Honey Holes' and just about got attacked by a Mother Osprey trying to protect her yougins--that The Donald knew was nearby

All in all- The wife and I had a Great Time with a couple of CCFans and a Toon--- Which he had the wife wanting one now-So the Donald says we could start a PYTOONFan.com site
Again THANKS to the Tilley's Hospitality and it was good seeing ya again Greg!
And a BIG THANK-You to The Pinkham's for letting us stay at The 'Honey Hotel' that we had to change the sheets cause we didn't know what the previous tenant did on them--Morfoot

Our local trailer repair place here in Sandy Ridge near the RV place on I-40. Serious though if ya want it, it's yours! Reid is coming my way today Friday the 24th. I could give it to him- He's picking up some Fabric here in High Point and I'm giving him some surprises to take to Green Lake !

The bolt pattern on the single axle Ramlins is 6 on 5-1/2", which is a pretty common trailer wheel size. If you get a "trailer wheel" its all but guaranteed to have the proper offset/backspacing.

If you have time to order one, you can get a wheel for $40-50 from any online trailer store... Eastern Marine, Etrailer, Northern Tool, etc.

Thanks for the pic's they are helpful. Unfortunately they do not come through on the BB. I now understand.

Marty-
Looks like once again you are the man. Can we catch up this week-end? Where did you find the new modular rim for $26.00?

6-lug Chevy rims--I think Toyota too! I've got a Wagon Wheel rim (white) if ya want it. I bought a new modular rim $26 !! and painted it Purple and White for my spare!

Back space is from the backside of the wheel. Offset is from the centerline of the wheel.
Sorry if I caused confusion. Thought maybe an image would help.

So is the offset the distance from the wheel face (that the lug nuts tighten against to the front or back of the rim? Anything else to be certain of?

Greg,
It does come to play when you're buying the rims (wheels). Remember the days of the offset wheels for ether the drag guys or the off roaders". It played absolute hell and still to this day on the overhung load on the wheel/axle bearings!!

All-
I am out of town this week and want to make some calls to the local junkyards to pick up a spare rim (for roadside emergenies only!) this week-end so I can have my old tire (I kept as a spare) mounted before a 2k mile road trip. Does anyone know what the bolt spacing is on the '96 vintage Ramlin Trailers are?
