I had the same fuse blown. I have not checked the pumps yet but I'm not sure I would have found it without you already finding the location. "3 inches from the key" really helped. Thanks. I am willing to bet you have a pump that is rusted up and drawing more load than the fuse can handle.

I would suggest follow the wire's to see of there are any broken spots. If there are not any exposed wires which would cause the pump to short out I would take the pump out and bench test it. Depending on your results you may find a faulty pump, or the pump my be working fine which would tell you there is another issue. (depending upon how hard it is to remove the pump I would test that first before I chase wires.)

So I grabbed the keys and went back to test the inline fuse replacement. Success rate is 50%. The "fill" pump runs without issue. I switched it to empty and the rear "empty" pump ran for about 1 second and stopped... fuse blown.    Any thoughts?

Thank you. There is an inline fuse, after tracing the wiring all the way from switch to dash, it was located only 3" down the main power line from the key switch behind the dash. 4A fuse blown. Unfortunately, I forgot the boat keys (stored indoor and 20 minutes away from the house) and wasn't able to test it today. Given it was blown, I am hoping this was it. Also seeing it is wired directly into the key/ignition, we know it is not running off a dash button. Thanks again! I will get back out and test it this week.

IIRC there is an inline fuse going to the full/empty switch. My switch was near the throttle lever, seem to recall the fuse being in that area behind the throttle, if not you should be able to trace the wire up under the dash.

Don't recall if you needed one of the dash buttons on or not for the ballast pumps to work, you could turn them all on and see if the pumps work and then turn off one by one as a process of elimination.

No power going to the ballast tank pumps (Attwood 750's). The 99 Air has 1 attwood wired for filling and a 2nd attwood wired for emptying the tanks. I have been using a voltage meter and found there is zero power being delivered to either pump. The bilge pump works w/o issue; just no power at the ballast pumps.
Before I go thru the painful process of tracing the wiring from the switch (by the throttle lever)into the maze of wiring bundles under the gunnels and then through the dash, does anyone know which switch on the dash controls the power to the ballast pumps? Open to any other ideas as well! Many thanks.
