Hah..   Not really any details.. her group was on their way out, we were on our way in.. She saw the lettering on the trucks and turns out she's from our area.

     She had her own tent..

Just got back from a week long trip to Lake George. We camped on one of the islands which turned out to be great.. Hopefully this post will be useful to others who might want to plan an island camping trip, as I found the info on this was limited.
We reserved two camp sites on turtle island.. I chose the west shore since it was very sheltered. This was key.. We had a quiet private cove that was great for swimming, skiing etc. We launched from Norowal Marina in Bolton Landing which is set up perfect for the island campers. They have hourly docking (for trips into town) and parking for your truck and trailer (20 bucks a day.) It was an awesome place and made everything very convenient.
We headed out at 5:00 a.m. monday morning. I brought the Barefoot Supreme and a friend of mine brought his larson ..having that boat there was actually invaluable when things got rough in the afternoon.. We made it in 3.5 hours just as the marina was opening.

Arriving at Norowal.. commercial rig status

Met this girl at the marina and she camped and skied with us all week..

The whole lake looked like this when we arrived..

The Island:

This shows what the cove/bay we were in looked like..

Marina girl gears up for some skiin'

Not sure what shes doing here but check out that water..

Overall this was an awesome trip.. If you're into camping its definitely the way to go.
