Thanks to Eric, and BoatDr for their help. Eric hooked me up with the parts needed to hopefully get the ole trans working right again.

This is true. Clutches are easy to find, I figure that the shift control valve is not. I got stuck at trying to take apart the shift valve, and didn't want to have ALL the pieces laying on the bench. Eric, I called Saturday morning hoping you would be able to help with my parts search. At this point, I'm looking for gaskets, seals, and probably clutches along with the parts stated earlier.

wouldnt it make you wonder if the valve is stuck, what does the rest of the trans look like inside?
as in you didnt have neutral how? you should be able to turn the input shaft free of the output shaft when the trans is sitting on the bench, if not then the forward clutches are warped and the forward clutch pack clearance is gone.

I could also use a shaft side coupler. The coupler I have is a 1" bore, with a 4" flange. The holes are 2 1/4" apart, or 3 1/4" across. I believe the keyway is 1/4", with the set screw holes 90* each way from it. Mine is no longer useable.

I'm trying to get a mid 60's Mustang back into to water. All is ready, except the trans. I didn't have neutral, so I pulled the trans out to inspect it. The control valve is stuck. I can't pull the center out of it once the spring is removed. I currently have the valve sitting in solvent hopping to break it free, but doesn't look good. Any help is appreciated.
