There's an 87 dash wiring diagram in the reference section:
http://www.correctcraftfan.com/downloads/1987_dash.pdf Yup, undersized wiring is a common problem. Could be that you're charging just fine, but your dash gauge is telling you differently because the wiring going up there isn't heavy enough. |

Would anyone happen to have a wiring diagram for the charging system of an 87 2001 Ski Nautique?? I am having issues, will not charge over 12 volts, sometimes drops to 10 when runing. I took alternator off to get tested and noticed the wires just seem to be awful thin so I am going to try and replace as I go with a thicker guage. Also having problem with the cables getting hot..
