Went with the VR 1 20W-50 & the ford motorcraft FL 1A oil filter.
Is there a air filter on these engines? |

Valvoline VR-1 20W-50 conventional seems to be the most common choice and is not too expensive and readily available.

Have 1997 GT40 EFI which rec. using 40W40 FG. Having a hard time finding this type of oil. What other types would you rec. Looking at changing my oil before winterizing the boat.
